Mike has provided personalized adventures for fellow travelers for over 30 years. His guiding resume is as broad as it is deep, with numerous expeditions ranging from guiding paddling groups in the Arctic of Alaska, to climbing the granite monoliths of Yosemite Valley. Mike has sailed the coast of Maine for more than 20 years. In 2001, he sailed a 34 foot cutter to Ireland. He holds a 50-ton US Coast Guard Masters license.
Mike was instrumental in the development of the nationally-acclaimed Outdoor Leadership Program in Greenfield, MA. He served as its lead trainer for 23 years. During that time, he trained hundreds of guides for careers in the outdoors. Mike moved to Maine in 2004 to work for Rippleffect as their Program Director. Rippleffect’s mission is to provide “learning adventure in a living classroom,” on their Cow Island campus in Casco Bay. Cyrus Hagge, Rippleffect’s board president (2006-2012) credits Mike with “helping Rippleffect become the successful integrated leadership training organization that it is today.” Mike loves sharing outdoor experiences with all ages and looks forward to providing you and your friends with an exceptional experience. Mike lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife, Cindy, and their three kids.
